LS Electric unveiled a large number of next-generation power products, including AI data center-specific package solutions.
The company participated in Korea¡¯s largest smart power and energy exhibition, ELECS Korea 2025 and Korea Smart Grid Expo 2025, which ran at COEX in Seoul, for three days from Feb. 12 to 14.
LS Electric set up an exhibition space consisting of 50 booths, the most among participating companies, under the theme ¡°To Infinity and Beyond: Infinite Innovation for Customers and a Sustainable Future.¡±
The exhibition was organized into five zones, including AI data center solutions, carbon-zero energy, and smart factory solutions, showcasing strategic solutions that will drive the next-generation smart power industry and presenting its global business strategy.
LS Electric showcased a customized package solution for data centers, featuring a superconducting fault current limiter, smart switchgear, semiconductor transformer (SST), semiconductor circuit breaker (SSCB), and HVAC systems.
The company also introduced HyperGrid NX, LS Electric¡¯s superconducting power solution, which ensures a stable power supply not only for traditional data centers but also for hyperscale AI data centers.
HyperGrid NX is a data center (IDC) power supply system that combines LS Electric¡¯s superconducting fault current limiter with LS Cable & System¡¯s superconducting cable.
LS Electric¡¯s superconducting fault current limiter is a device that instantly reduces fault currents in the event of a power system failure, preventing equipment damage, electrical fires, and widespread blackouts, making it essential for large-scale industrial facilities.
LS Electric is accelerating its global expansion by supplying power equipment to U.S. IT company data centers and actively targeting major global big tech firms and Korean telecommunications companies.
With the rapid advancement of AI technology, demand for data centers is rising sharply.
Global big tech companies like Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft (MS) are making large-scale investments in data center construction, and this year¡¯s expected investment scale alone is projected to exceed 500 trillion won.
LS Electric also presented Korea¡¯s only UL-certified distribution board, along with a full package of next-generation DC power systems, including a DC Molded Case Circuit Breaker (MCCB), DC relay, and DC switch-disconnector.
The company plans to emphasize its world-class power system technology and supply capabilities, applicable across the entire power grid from transmission and transformation to distribution.
Additionally, LS Electric exhibited IoT-based digital energy optimization solutions tailored for different customer needs, including the GridSol CUBE energy efficiency management platform, the GridSol CARE integrated power equipment management platform, an Asset Management System (AMS), and a Factory Energy Management System (FEMS).
Participation in InterBattery 2025
Six major affiliates of LS Group including LS Electric participated in Korea¡¯s largest battery industry exhibition to showcase future strategic business capabilities.
LS Electric announced that, together with LS MnM, LS Materials, LS Alsco, LS e-Mobility Solutions, and LS Tira Eutek, it participated in InterBattery 2025 at COEX in Gangnam, Seoul, from March 5 to 7.
LS Group unveiled a wide range of solutions covering the entire renewable energy industry, from eco-friendly power generation to batteries.
LS Electric and the five affiliates jointly set up an exhibition space of 45 booths, highlighting differentiated next-generation products and technological capabilities under five key themes — Energy Storage Systems (ESSs), DC solutions, future materials, electric vehicles (EVs) and smart factories.
LS Electric prominently showcased its next-generation ESS and DC package solutions, which are the company¡¯s strategic new products.
The LS Electric all-in-one ESS platform collects real-time status data through sensors installed in batteries and power conversion systems (PCS). This allows for power usage prediction, fault prevention, and enhanced safety.
LS Electric also introduced its industrial modular ESS solution, LS ELECTRIC MSSP.
The MSSP is an independently developed product based on LS Electric¡¯s world-class expertise in power conversion and industrial drives (inverters) which help reduce energy consumption through motor control speed adjustments.
Notably, its key power conversion component, the Power Electronic Building Block (PEBB), is modularized in 200kW units, enabling smart independent operation.
