Hyosung Heavy Industries announced that it participated in the ELECS Korea 2025, which ran at COEX in Seoul from Feb. 12 to 14.

The ELECS Korea 2025 was a specialized exhibition for the power and energy sector organized by the Korea Electrical Manufacturers Association and KEPCO. 

The theme was intelligent energy solutions evolving with AI and DC technology. 

It is Korea¡¯s leading electricity industry exhibition, with many companies participating as exhibitors. 

It attracted a large number of visitors with a big interest in the power and energy sector.

Hyosung Heavy Industries exhibited Armour+, a platform-based power facility asset management system that monitors power facilities with AI-based solutions; AR-based vision inspection equipment, a digital power equipment inspection system that utilizes augmented reality (AR) technology; HVDC (high-voltage direct current transmission system), a 200MW HVDC system developed with Korea¡¯s original technology and Static Synchronous Compensators (STATCOMs), which is used in renewable energy generation and data centers to help stably supply power. 

In particular, many visitors paid much attention to the Experience Zone where visitors can try ARMOUR+ and 3D modeling of major power equipment. 

¡°Hyosung Heavy Industries is continuously expanding its business scope by actively incorporating AI and digital technologies into power equipment solutions,¡± said Woo Tae-hee, CEO of Hyosung Heavy Industries. 

¡°We look forward to sharing the future of the power industry with Korean and foreign customers through this exhibition.¡±

Hyosung Heavy Industries posted its best-ever business results in 2024, with its sales up 13.8 percent year-on-year to 4.9 trillion won. Operating profit increased 40.6 percent to 362.5 billion won.

Showcasing Products in India¡¯s Largest Power Industry Exhibition ¡®ELECRAMA 2025¡¯

Hyosung Heavy Industries participated in India¡¯s largest power industry exhibition ELECRAMA 2025 and received favorable comments and reviews from local customers. 

Hyosung Heavy Industries announced that it participated in the ELECRAMA 2025 held in New Delhi, India from Feb. 22 to 26.

The ELECRAMA 2025 is a global power industry exhibition held every two years. 

It is a large-scale event with more than 1,000 companies participating as exhibitors and more than 400,000 visitors. 

Hyosung Heavy Industries showcased its latest power technologies and products under the theme of ¡°Reliable Partner in the Energy Transition Era for Grid Stability,¡± receiving much attention from local customers.

Hyosung Heavy Industries¡¯ main products on display included SF6 Free Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS), which reduces greenhouse gas emissions while enhancing high-performance insulation technology; mobile substations which can be quickly installed and moved to respond to emergencies; a STATCOM for stable power supply for renewable energy generation and data centers; and an HVDC system, a core technology-powered product for future power grids that enable efficient long-distance transmission of large amounts of power.

¡°India is one of the fastest-growing power markets in the world,¡± Woo said. 

¡°We will further strengthen our leading position in the Indian market with our innovative power solutions showcased at this exhibition.¡±

Meanwhile, Hyosung Heavy Industries recognized the big growth potential of the Indian power equipment market early. 

The company established a subsidiary in New Delhi in 2007 and a GIS production plant in Pune, central-western India, in 2015. 

Hyosung Heavy Industries holds the top spot in the Indian GIS market, with over half percent of the market share, especially in the 800kv and above ultra-high voltage GIS segment with a market share of over 95 percent. 

As of 2024, the subsidiary¡¯s sales in India are expected to more than double year on year, making the subsidiary a leading power equipment company in the Indian market.
