Korea Southern Power Co. (KOSPO) held an event on April 2 to practice ¡°KOSPO ethics and human right correctness¡± among executives and staffers, in order to spread in-house ethics and human rights awareness and establish internal controls on the occasion of the company¡¯s 24th anniversary.
The event took place on the first anniversary of KOSPO President Kim Joon-dong taking office.
In December, KOSPO declared the practicing of ethics management and in-house controls, with management taking the initiative.
The latest event was designed to ramp up all executives and staffers¡¯ willingness to practice integrity and build consensus on ethics and human rights awareness through freshmen employees¡¯ declaration of their will to practice ethics and human rights.
In the awards ceremony, 27 exemplary staffers, selected by each department, were awarded in recognition of conducting their excellent ethics and human rights activities, and their exemplary practices were shared to spread awareness of ethics and human rights.
KOSPO President Kim said, that public expectations of public office holders¡¯ ethics and human rights awareness and social responsibility are higher than ever.
From now on, KOSPO plans to conduct a variety of ethics and human rights activities to spread integrity among executives and staffers by raising in-house horizontal corporate culture.

KOSPO Joins Public Entities to Help Small Businesses in Busan and Ulsan Explore Overseas Markets
Korea Southern Power Co. (KOSPO) has teamed up with public entities to help small businesses grappling with the hard times, caused by declining domestic demand, explore overseas markets.
KOSPO struck an MOU with the Busan Regional SMEs and Startups Office, Busan Regional Customs Office, SEMAS Busan, Ulsan and Gyeongsangnam-do Regional Office and Busan University of Foreign Studies to help Korean small businesses enter foreign markets at KOSPO headquarters in Busan on March 12.
Under the deal, the five institutions agreed to cooperate on the exploration of promising small businesses in the Busan and Ulsan upgrading their brand, operating an academy to ramp up export capabilities, and the provision of administrative support.
KOSPO and other participating entities expect that their collaboration will pump-prime the creation of regional small businesses¡¯ new marketing channels and driving export-oriented economic growth.
KOSPO President Kim said, ¡°KOSPO will continue to provide support with the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and the Small Enterprise and Market Service (SEMAS) to alleviate small business owners¡¯ management burden, invigorate the regional economy and nurture growth-oriented small businesses through export support.¡±
