Hana Bank has revamped its consultation support system, HAI Consultation Support Bot, based on generative artificial intelligence (AI) technology to improve consultation quality and boost work efficiency.

The HAI Consultation Support Bot is an internal support system that provides consultants with real-time guidance on business information and processing procedures during consultations with customers. 

In this overhaul, generative AI technology was applied to add a real-time summary of consultation content and automatic classification of consultation contents.

Through the introduction of generative AI technology, the content of conversations with customers is summarized and automatically classified in real time. 

It can significantly cut the time consultants spend on follow-up tasks and enables faster and more accurate responses to a larger number of customers.

Additionally, by linking categorized consultation content with a marketing system, this technology can lay the foundation for utilizing it for various tasks, such as customized product recommendations and post-sales management tailored to customers.

It¡¯s the first case of developing a summary and classification model tailored to Hana Bank through collaboration between Hana Bank and Hana TI, and applying it to actual services, adding further significance to the project.

Hana Bank has said it will continuously improve its consultation support system by developing additional knowledge-driven models linked to its knowledge management system, aiming to further enhance customer-tailored management services and the consultation center¡¯s operational efficiency.

¡°This overhaul of HAI Consultation Support Bot is the result of Hana Bank¡¯s efforts to provide faster and more accurate services to its customers¡± said Lee Ho-sung, President of Hana Bank.

¡®My Child¡¯s Bank Account¡¯ Promotion for First-Time Child Customers 

Hana Bank announced on June 16 that it is holding a promotion called ¡°My Child¡¯s First Step with Hana!¡± until July 6, offering gifts to parents with children under 18 years of age who become new customers of Hana Bank.

Hana Bank will provide gifts to parents who open one or more new accounts in their children¡¯s names through the My Child¡¯s Account Creation Service. 

The non-face-to-face account opening service is available on the bank¡¯s flagship mobile app, ¡®Hana OneQ.¡¯ 

Participants can choose one of three prizes — a small electric fan, preferred by the MZ generation, 10 coffee coupons, or 10,000-won gift card for a photo printing service.

This service allows parents to easily open accounts for their children, such as checking accounts, savings accounts, subscription savings accounts and foreign currency accounts. 

They can also apply for electronic banking services via smartphones without visiting a branch. If the children are 12 years of age or older, they can apply for check cards at the same time.

Hana Bank also offers a special benefit for children. If their parents apply for new housing savings accounts on behalf of their children, they will receive vouchers worth 20,000 Hana Money. 

This voucher can be issued through the event page on the Hana OneQ App or the event page on Hana Money, Hana Financial Group¡¯s lifestyle finance platform.


Vietnamese Children¡¯s Day

Hana Bank announced on June 2 that it celebrated Vietnamese Children¡¯s Day for children from multicultural families. 

It was the first event sponsored by Hana Bank in honor of Vietnamese Children¡¯s Day of May 1 after inking a business agreement with the Association of Vietnamese Residents in Korea.

Hana Bank invited a total of 180 people, including parents and children from multicultural families. 

The bank held cultural and educational programs, such as the children¡¯s economic musical ¡°Jack¡¯s Magic Wallet,¡± a cake-making class and a quiz contest for Vietnamese Children¡¯s Day.

The children¡¯s economic musical ¡°Jack¡¯s Magic Wallet¡± is Hana Bank¡¯s representative children¡¯s financial education program that helps children have proper economic habits such as saving, spending and sharing in easy ways.
