High1 Ski Resort, owned by Kangwon Land, heralded the start of the 2025/2026 ski season by officially opening the Athena III-1 slope and snow sled site on Nov. 28.
High1 Ski Resort boasts beginner, intermediate and advanced courses, stretching 21 km in total.
The Athena III-1 slope is suitable for ski beginners, and a sledding site in front of the Mountain Ski House can be used without cable car and lift.
High1 Ski Resort is to open 15 slopes and ¡°Snow World¡± facilities on a gradual basis. Snow World is a winter experience space for non-skier and non-snowboarder families.
Large-sized rafting boards are added to the conventional rafting sleds and family sleds, while a transparent dome has been installed at the ice sled site. Wind-proof facilities have been added to a waiting space to lower apparent temperatures.

High1 Ski Resort held an opening promotion event from Nov. 28 until Nov. 30, allowing skiers entry for 10,000 won and gear was available to rent at a price of 20,000 won.
Skiers were given a 50 percent lift discount during the period between Dec. 1 and Dec. 5.
The ski resort is operating a promotion event targeting college applicants, in which test takers can use Water World and ski lift at a price of 10,000 won, respectively, during the month of December.
Promotion beneficiaries are required to show 2026 College Scholastic Ability Test admission tickets and identity cards.
Hong Sung-wook, head of the Leisure Business Office at Kangwon Land, said, ¡°In this season, opening one week earlier than the previous season, we have attached priority to raising snow quality, safety and experience satisfaction, and we¡¯ve finished preparations so that users waiting for the snowy fields in early winter may enjoy ski safely.¡±
High1 Ski Resort boasts long slopes, quality snow and the natural landscape of Baekdu Mountain.
During the season, the sky resort remains open from 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. while Snow World opens from 10 a.m.
High1 Ski Resort Launches Kakao Map Indoor Map Service
Kangwon Land said on Dec. 2 the resort launched the Kakao Map application ¡°High1 Ski Resort Indoor Map¡± service in cooperation with Kakao.
The Kakao Map Indoor Map is a service offering information on the location of each floor for spaces like airports, railroad stations and shopping malls, as well as convenience facilities.
On the High 1 Grand Hotel at the app, users can find major facilities on each floor, such as restaurants, wellness centers, fitness centers, and saunas.
Starting with Grand Hotle, High 1 Resort plans to expand the app service to other diverse facilities of the resort.
The ski resort also plans to build real-time location-based active road search system and make a model for a next-generation smart resort through the developing of 3D mapping using AR technologies.
