Achieves feat of 2 trillion won in annual sales for the first time since its founding

Samyang Foods saws sales surpass 2 trillion won in sales for the first time since its founding. It came two years after the company posted 1 trillion won in sales in 2023. 

Samyang Foods said on Jan. 29 that it chalked up 2,351.8 billion won in sales and 523.9 billion won in operating profit in 2025 on a consolidated basis. 

The figures represent a 36 percent year-on-year sales surge and a 52 percent year-on-year jump in operating profit, renewing the previous best-ever performance. 

The latest best-ever performance was owed to accelerated growth, couped with the expanded overseas business on the back of the global mega brand ¡°Buldak¡± and enlarged production infrastructure. 

Samyang Foods saw sales double in two years after posting 1 trillion won for the first time in 2023 and operating profit surge from 140 billion won to 500 billion won, a three-fold jump. 




Last year, the company focused on diversifying export destinations based on the global standing of the brand Buldak and expanding its presence in U.S. and European mainstream distribution networks. 

The company also achieved a good performance amid uncertain outside environment conditions by expanding production capacity through the inauguration of the Milyang II Plant. 

In particular, the brand Buldak proved its competitive edge on the global market once again by selling 1 billion pieces only during the second half of last year.

A Samyang Foods official said, ¡°The brand Buldak has been seeing steady demand like a daily item, and we will maintain growth by strengthening production and distribution infrastructure in keeping with the trends.¡± 


Samyang Foods Participate in ¡®SMTS 2026¡¯

Samyang Foods participated in the 60th Supermarket Trade Show 2026 (SMTS 2026), which took place at Makuhari Messe, Japan from Feb. 18 to Feb. 20. 

Supermarket Trade Show is Japan¡¯s largest business fair designed to share the latest information about the food distribution industry, centering around supermarkets across Japan. 

SMTS 2026 was the 60th rendition of exhibition. 

The company redoubled efforts to expand local distribution channels by strengthening its brand in the Japanese market through its participating in the fair. 

Samyang strived to expand the food category using the brand ¡°Buldak¡± during the fair. 

The company unveiled two Japanese limited versions of ¡°Buldak Curry¡± for the first time. It is characterized with realizing of strongly spicy and savory tastes using ¡°Buldak Sources.¡± 

Buldak Curry boasts flavors by mixing five spices, including cumin and coriander. 


Samyang Foods Opens Pop-Up Store ¡®House of Burn¡¯ at Myeongdong

Samyang Foods opened the pop-up store ¡°House of Burn¡± in the 1st floor lobby of Samyang Foods Myeongdong Head Office from March 20 to March 24.

Inbound visitors touring Myeongdong were given the chance to experience the energy and characters of the brand in a more vivid fashion by visiting Samyang Foods Myeongdong Head Office in person.
 
It took on significance since the inside of the company¡¯s headquarters was opened to the public for the first time since it was relocated to Myeongdong. 

The event started with Vice Chmn. Kim Jung-soo¡¯s idea of expanding contacts with Buldak aficionados and ramping up brand bondage. 

Samyang Foods built a space in which global tourists experienced diverse brand content while traveling comfortably under the catchphrases ¡°Make Life Spicy!¡±

Visitors were given an opportunity to experience the company¡¯s representative products, such as ¡°Buldak Ramen,¡± ¡°Cream Carbo Buldak Bokkeum Myeon Ramen,¡± and ¡°Maeptaeng Ramen (MEP).¡±

A Samyang Foods official said, ¡°The inside of the head office has been revealed to the public for the first time through the House of Burn to pay back the support of global Buldak aficionados visiting Korea, and I hope global Buldak aficionados could directly communicate with the brand at downtown Seoul and experience the hot joy and cultural values Samyang Foods pursues through the event.¡±
