NongHyup Financial Group held an event to commemorate ¡°NongHyup Financial Consumer Protection Day¡± on Mar. 9, becoming the first financial holding company to do so. 

The company plans to spread a financial consumer protection culture throughout the organization. 

NongHyup Financial Group plans to designate March 15 as ¡°Financial Consumer Protection Day¡± and manage that week as ¡°Financial Consumer Protection Week.¡±

While each subsidiary has continuously carried out various financial consumer protection activities and events, NongHyup Financial Group established NongHyup Financial Consumer Protection Day to publicly express the financial group¡¯s commitment to consumer protection and to further strengthen the protection of consumer rights. 

This event is significant in that it goes beyond the simple designation of a commemorative day and is operated as a practice-oriented program that combines education, inspection, and communication.

First, all employees received the direction for the implementation of financial consumer protection from the CEO¡¯s message and online training. 

In addition, the best and excellent subsidiaries for financial consumer protection were selected for prizes based on evaluations of the results of the comprehensive consumer protection index assessment, institutional improvement cases, and external public relations performances.

NongHyup Bank has been holding the Financial Consumer Protection Annual Awards every year since 2023 to foster a company-wide environment for promoting consumer protection. 

In particular, in 2025, the bank was selected as the best subsidiary for financial consumer protection for achieving the result of preventing approximately 100 billion won in financial fraud damage annually by running the Suspicious Account Monitoring Center 24 hours a day — a first in the financial industry — to protect customer assets. 

NongHyup Property & Casualty Insurance was selected as a KCPI ¡°excellent¡± company for Financial Consumer Protection in Korea for two consecutive years. 

The insurer picked up the Financial Consumer Protection Prize in recognition of its consumer rights protection activities including the establishment of the first FDS system in the non-life insurance industry and the expansion of services for financially marginalized groups.

¡°Financial consumer protection is a fundamental value that determines the trust of financial companies, going beyond merely dealing with regulations,¡± Chairman Lee Chan-woo said. 

¡°I hope this Financial Consumer Protection Day serves as an opportunity to review achievements and reflect on ourselves.¡± 

Through the establishment of this day, NH NongHyup Financial Group plans to hold the Financial Consumer Protection Day event regularly once a year and continuously strengthen group-level consumer protection governance by linking the results of internal control inspections with improvements in systems.


Launch of Credit Card and Insurance Policy for Senior Citizens 

NongHyup Financial Group is expanding services that combine finance and care under its senior citizen-specialized brand ¡°NH All Wonderful¡± and is sequentially introducing new products for senior customers through collaboration with affiliates. 

The products to be launched this time are NongHyup Bank¡¯s senior citizen-specialized card, ¡°NH All Wonderful Card,¡± and NH NongHyup Life Insurance¡¯s ¡°Worry-Free Dementia Insurance.¡± 

They are characterized by providing senior citizen-tailored financial services that encompass health, lifestyle, and asset management.

NongHyup Bank¡¯s ¡°NH All Wonderful Card,¡± launched on March 10, allows customers to choose between a type to enjoy discounts in specialized areas and a type to accumulate points in uses at all merchants. 

It is designed to provide practical benefits in areas where senior customers spend a lot of money in their daily lives, such as hospitals, pharmacies, large supermarkets, and bus and subway uses. 

Through this, the bank will enhance the convenience of daily life and financial utility for senior citizens. 

In addition, NongHyup Life Insurance¡¯s ¡°NH All Wonderful Worry-Free Dementia Insurance,¡± launched on the same day, is a product with enhanced coverage features to help prepare for the rapidly increasing risk of dementia in Korea¡¯s aging society. 

By providing coverage for hospital expenses for medicines and monthly living expenses upon diagnosis of dementia, it ensures that patients with mild to moderate dementia are covered without any blind spots, thereby relieving financial burdens required for care-giving services.
