Specialized Financial Package for Military Officers
Shinhan Bank announced on Mar. 5 that it has introduced a special financial package for military officers to support their stable asset formation and reduce their financial burdens.
This package consists of lower interest rates for military-exclusive loans and the Shinhan Long-Term Installment Leap Savings, designed to help long-serving military officers accumulate lump sums.
Shinhan Bank is lowering interest rates on military-exclusive credit loans by approximately 0.4% in March to reduce the financial burden on full-time soldiers and military personnel.
Additionally, the scope of support has been expanded since last year to include military civil servants and public service workers, allowing more military-related personnel to enjoy benefits.
In addition, Shinhan Bank launched the Shinhan Long-Term Installment Leap Savings on Mar. 3.
This product targets officers and non-commissioned officers serving long term as part of a support program for long-serving officers, organized by the Ministry of National Defense and jointly participated in by the Korea Military Mutual Aid Association and Shinhan Bank.
Preferential interest rates apply at an annual rate of 0.1% if there is a record of regular salary deposits into a Shinhan Bank checking account for 20 or more months and at an annual rate of 0.1% if there is a record of Shinhan Card (credit/debit) payments into a Shinhan Bank checking account for 20 or more months.
The structure involves the Ministry of National Defense adding an equal amount to monthly payments, allowing recipients to receive more than double their principal upon maturity.
