KEPCO E&C struck a contract for the design of power supply equipment for the Yongin Datacenter and auxiliary equipment with KAAM Square Yongin datacenter PFV Co. on March 27, the company said.
The contract signing comes about three months after KEPCO E&C signed an MOU on the implementation of a datacenter in Jigok-dong, Yongin, last December.
KEPCO E&C will be responsible for the design service for building power infrastructure for the 60MW high-capacity datacenter.
The scope of the major services includes the design of a 345kV underground power distribution line and power supply equipment, equipment and device procurement, and support for permits and licenses.
The contract marks KEPCO E&C¡¯s first official order since the company entered the datacenter market.

KEPCO E&C Offers e-Manpower Development Educational Program on Power Generation Design Tech
KEPCO E&C offered an educational program on power generation design technology for 56 students from 19 universities at KEPCO E&C headquarters in Gimcheon from Feb. 23 to 26.
The educational program is KEPCO E&C¡¯s representative program, taking place biannually, designed to nurture next-generation manpower.
A combined 1,500 students majoring in engineering departments across the nation have graduated from the program since 2011, when it made its debut.
KEPCO E&C has successfully been carrying out roles to nurture gifted manpower with future energy industries.
The company has been helping nurture regional manpower by supporting student participation in the Gyeongbuk area, where KEPCO E&C is located.
The educational curriculums comprise a variety of themes, ranging from basic education on engineering, such as nuclear power and SMRs, to financial management, drawing much attention from participating students.
Prominent program recipients are offered scholarships through their universities.
