Yuhan Corp. Aims to Launch ‘Next Blockbuster Products’ like Leclaza

President Cho Wook-je of Yuhan Corp. said, “We’ve been progressing without interruption the development of new drug pipelines to launch a ‘second Leclaza’ and Yuhan Corp. will ramp up global competitiveness on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of its founding.”

President Cho made the remarks while speaking at a regular shareholders’ meeting at Yuhan headquarters in Dongjak-gu, Seoul, on March 29.

As the non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) drug “Leclaza” is entering a global commercialization stage, the use of the new drug is predicted to surge from this year, he said.

In 2024, Leclaza became the first home-developed new drug to be approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). ‘Leclaza’ is used in combination with Johnson & Johnson’s antibody drug “Rybrevant.”

On the back of Leclaza, Yuhan chalked up 2,186.6 billion won in 2025 consolidated sales and 104.4 billion won in 2025 operating profit.

The figures represent a 6 percent year-on-year surge and a 90 percent year-on-year jump, respectively.

Yuhan Corp. has set a goal of releasing “next blockbuster products” like Leclaza by reinvesting profits into the R&D sector.

Currently, the pharmaceutical company is developing candidate new drugs, including the allergy drug candidate “YH35324.”

President Cho said, “The past 100 years was a period during which the late Yuhan founder Yu Il-han’s creed has been preserved, and now that this year is an important time for establishing the direction of the next 100 years, Yuhan will explore mid- and long-term growth opportunities through global partnership & open innovation and strategic R&D.”

Yu Ilring, a granddaughter of the late founder Yu and director of Yuhan School Foundation, returned home from the United States and attended the shareholders’ meeting.

In an interview with a vernacular news outlet, she said, “I wish to make this year a year of reviving my grandfather’s passion and innovation on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Yuhan’s founding.”

The late founder left $10,000 to his granddaughter, instead of handing over to his family’s management rights.

The National Pension Fund with a 7.73 percent stake in Yuhan approved all proposals made during the meeting.

Yuhan Corp. soon will dispense 600 won per common share and 610 won per preferred share in dividends, a 20 percent year-on-year surge.

The meeting also passed a proposal calling for the appointment Prof. Shin Eui-cheol of KAIST Graduate School of Medical Science and Engineering (GSMSE) and Oh In-suh, a lawyer with D&A Advisory to become an outside director.

Yuhan’s Vegan brand ‘Dinsee’ Enters Vietnamese Market

Yuhan Corp.’s premium vegan brand “Dinsee” has opened outlets at Sociolla, a health & beauty channel in Vietnam, the corporation said on March 17.

Dinsee is Yuhan’s personal care brand that pursues high-performance vegan through the use of premium raw materials and strict quality management.

Sociolla, which entered the Vietnamese market in 2020, has 12 outlets in Hanoi, Hoh Chi Minh and others.

Last November, Dinsee made its debut at the e-Commerce platform Shopee, one of Vietnam’s highest online market share platforms, and a brand mall of Lazada.

A Dinsee official said the brand Dinsee, seeing Vietnam as a Southeast Asian center of distribution network, plans to pursue its sustainable growth and development.”
