Woori Bank introduced ¡°Won Bizplaza,¡± a supply chain finance platform at the venue of the Asian Development Bank (ADB)¡¯s Annual Meeting in Songdo, Incheon.

The bank launched Won Bizplaza for the first time in the Korean financial industry in September last year.

Woori Financial Group Chairman Lim Jong-ryong, Woori Bank President Lee Won-duk, and Woori Bank employees attended the event, where they set up a booth to demonstrate services provided by Won Bizplaza.

In particular, as Woori Bank has been providing the platform free of charge to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) having trouble in their digital transformations, the bank plans to spread its know-how in ¡°win-win finance¡± and the value of ¡°shared growth with companies.¡±

Won Bizplaza empowers companies to conveniently and transparently conduct purchasing operations that were previously handled manually by converting them to digital-based electronic methods.

Moreover, Woori Bank has significantly reduced the burden of financial costs for customers who join Won Bizplaza by increasing guarantee ratios and paying guarantee fees through supply chain finance revitalization agreement-based guarantees by Korea Credit Guarantee Fund and Korea Technology Guarantee Fund.

Supply chain finance (SCF) is a financial service that provides stable and fast working capital to small and medium-sized enterprises that have difficulty obtaining financing and optimizes the entire supply chain from raw material procurement to product production, distribution, and sales.

Many ADB participants visited the Woori Bank booth and showed positive responses about Won Bizplaza during the ADB meeting period.
