The Incheon Tourism Organization (ITO) said on May 4 Songdo Conventia, Incheon’s representative exhibition and convention center, will be the venue of the 2024 Hyrox Korea and the 2024 World Olympic Taekwondo Championship, to be held in February 2024 and June 2024, respectively.

The 2024 Hyrox Korea, a world fitness racing event, will take place on Feb. 17, 2024. At that time, Hyrox, the world’s first fitness racing event, will premier in Korea.

Currently, more than 28 fitness racing events in eight countries, including New York, Berlin and London, are held every year.

About 2,000 people, including 200 foreigners, are expected to participate in the 2024 Hyrox Korea.

Songdo Conventia will also be the venue of the Moon Dae Sung Olympic Taekwondo Camp and the 2024 World Olympic Taekwondo Championship, which will take place from June 28, 2024 to June 30.

People aged between 10 and 60 are allowed to participate in the event, and attendees are expected to total about 1,500, including 300 people from 17 countries outside Korea.

Kim Jin-young, head of the Exhibition Team at ITO, said, “Songdo Conventia is a multi-purpose cultural space beyond the exhibition and convention, and we’ll contribute to attracting more visitors and reinvigorating the regional economy by attracting Korean and world sports events.”

ITO Launches 24-Hour ‘Incheon Tour Pass’

The Incheon Tourism Organization (ITO) has released “Incheon Tour Pass,” a 24-hour mobile voucher that allows holders to visit about 40 tourist spots in Incheon.

The release of the pass is designed to help tourists gain access to the tourist spots at a reasonable price on the occasion of the ‘Month of Family’ in May.

ITO said on May 3 that the organization has issued the 24-hour Incheon Tour Pass, targeting customers, such as one-day tourists and school excursion groups.

The pass, adopting a position-based technology, allows users to search tourist spots in the order of distance. It also allows holders to look around tourist spots as recommended and enjoy benefits at famous restaurants and caffes.

ITO also plans to release ‘Ganghwa Island Premium Pass,’ targeting the seaside resort “Luge” on Ganghwa Island and other tourist experience spots, as well as local caffes and restaurants on May 15.

ITO Selects Six ‘Incheon Wellness Tourist Spots’

The Incheon Tourism Organization (ITO) has designated six “Incheon Wellness Tourist Spots” for the year 2023, famous for healing mind and body.

Incheon Wellness Tourist Spots have been designated and nurtured in a public contest ever year since 2021. The new six bring to 20 in five theme categories the list of Incheon Wellness Tourist Spots.

The six inductees are Geumpoong Brewery, Pumpkin Hall in Deokjeok Island, “Trini Yoga and Singing Ball,” Seokmodo Arboretum, Choyeondagu Museum, and “Uncle Tom Tree House.”
