KB Kookmin Card held a management strategy meeting for the second half of 2023 designed to share the direction of management¡¯s strategies and goals and discuss ways of taking corresponding steps to achieve them.
Among those on hand at the meeting, held on July 7, were 96 people, including KB Kookmin Card President Lee Chang-kwon and other executives, headquarters division heads and branch office chiefs.
During the meeting, KB Kookmin Card, analyzing internal and external multiple crises, explored ways of promoting substantial growth and implementing future growth strategies.
Starting with the announcement of a management plan for the second half of 2023, the morning session shared the direction of the establishment of mid- and long-term management strategies, and discussed ways of maxing out synergetic effects with KB Credit Information, which was incorporated into the credit card company on June 30.
The afternoon session offered a lecture on the travel platform company Yanolja¡¯s growth strategies and the way they work, an opportunity to build a consensus on establishing partnerships to step up the competitiveness of the non-financial services, and the need for innovation.
The participants also discussed each business¡¯s corresponding steps, such as ways of targeting customers to ramp up the main businesses, plans to implement corporate and public projects, ways of stepping up the financial competitiveness, boosting the KB Pay platform, and global business implementation strategies.
President Lee Chang-kwon demanded the efficiency of business and process costs amid protracted uncertainties, such as slowing consumption growth of the private sector coupled with worry over the economic recession in the second half and the ending of financial support related to the COVID-19 pandemic and rising delinquency rate.
He said, ¡°Leaders need to step up the competitiveness of major businesses and take the initiative to draw the future growth strategies.¡±
KB Kookmin Card Offers Benefits on Occasion of Summer Holiday Season
KB Kookmin Card has been offering benefits tailored to meet cardholders¡¯ needs for overseas travel on the occasion of the summer holiday season, the card company said on July 7.
Until the end of July, KB Kookmin Card is holding an event in which its international brand cardholders get a refund of points instead of overseas card use fees and additional points.
Cardholders who have signed up for the event at the KB Pay app will get a refund of points, equivalent to 1.25 percent of 200,000 won or more in their combined card payment amounts they spend until the end of this month.
Those who have surpassed 10 million won in card payment bills will get a refund of 2.25 percent.
Travelers who present the international brand card of KB Kookmin Card and air tickets will be allowed to have meals at outlets designated at Incheon International Airport at a cost of only 100 won until the end of August.
