Seoul Olympic Legacy Forum Selected as Public Sector Innovation Practice by OECD
The Korea Sports Promotion Foundation (KSPO) said on March 27 Seoul Olympic Legacy Forum had been selected as a public sector innovation practice by the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD).
OECD has operated OECD-Observatory of Public Sector Innovation (OPSI) since 2013 to explore public sector innovation practices contributing to solving diverse social problems of each country around the world and share them with international society.
Seoul Olympic Legacy Forum took place last October with about 200 people form the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and Olympic legacy entities around the world in attendance.
The forum suggested ways of solving long-term social issues after the Olympics and transferring intangible heritage of Olympic spirit.
It further promised to share and cooperate plans on the sustainable development of Olympic legacy.
The forum, not a transient event, had been recognized as a global sustainable program of an official development assistance format.
As a result, IOC had given ¡°Olympic Designation Level¡± meaning its official patronage.
